Dr Tejas Deshmukh – Cardiologist

Dr Tejas Deshmukh is a general adult cardiologist, with an interest in interventional cardiology.

He completed his undergraduate medical training (MBBS) at Western Sydney University, graduating in 2011. He subsequently completed internship, residency, physician training, and cardiology advanced training at Westmead Hospital, being awarded Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2019. He has also completed a Masters in Clinical Trials Research (MClinTr) from the University of Sydney in 2014.

Dr Deshmukh’s practice encompasses all aspects of adult cardiology, including coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, heart rhythm disorders, heart failure, cardiovascular imaging, and preventive cardiology. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in cardiac regeneration with A/Prof James Chong at the Westmead Institute for Medical Research. He is a recipient of the prestigious National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Postgraduate Scholarship as well as National Heart Foundation (NHF) Health Professionals Scholarship. He is also a Clinical Lecturer at The University of Sydney.
