About Dr Charith Horadagoda
Dr Charith Horadagoda is an experienced respiratory physician specialising in all aspects of general respiratory medicine. He completed his medical degree at the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, in 2007, followed by the Australian Medical Council Certificate in 2009.
After moving to Australia, Dr Horadagoda completed specialist training in respiratory medicine at leading tertiary hospitals, including Westmead Hospital and Liverpool Hospital. His comprehensive training has equipped him to assess and manage a wide range of respiratory conditions, from common concerns to complex chronic lung diseases.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr Horadagoda is actively involved in research and teaching. He is currently pursuing a PhD through the University of Sydney, focusing on upper airway physiology, and he holds a conjoint clinical lecturer position with the University of Sydney.
Dr Horadagoda is fluent in Sinhala and places high importance on clear, empathetic communication. He ensures his patients fully understand their condition, treatment options and long-term plan for improving respiratory health.
