Dr Divya Namboodiri is a Consultant Endocrinologist with expertise in managing all forms of diabetes (type 1, type 2 diabetes, gestational and genetic forms of diabetes) as well as all aspects of endocrinology and metabolic health such as, thyroid, adrenal and pituitary disorders, endocrine disorders in pregnancy, menopause, polycystic ovarian syndrome and osteoporosis. With a patient-centered approach, Dr. Namboodiri provides comprehensive, evidence-based and individualised care to her patients.

About Dr Divya Namboodiri

Dr Divya Namboodiri is a highly skilled endocrinologist and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. She manages the full spectrum of endocrine disorders, with particular interest in Type 1 diabetes, thyroid and pituitary diseases and endocrine conditions in pregnancy.

Dr Namboodiri completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Maharashtra University of Health Sciences in Nashik, India, before moving to Australia to continue her medical training. She undertook Basic Physician Training at Nepean Hospital, followed by speciality training in Endocrinology across Macquarie University Hospital, Blacktown Hospital and Liverpool Hospital. She currently holds appointments as a Visiting Medical Officer/Endocrinologist at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai and Macquarie University Hospitals.

Dr. Namboodiri is committed towards creating personalized treatment plans for patients and empowering patients in understanding and managing their health with confidence. She has a friendly and caring demeanour and strives to provide holistic, compassionate, and personalised care to achieve the best outcomes for her patients. 

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Namboodiri is affiliated with Macquarie University where she holds the position of Clinical Associate Lecturer with the Macquarie University MD Program. She is involved in both undergraduate teaching and supervision of Endocrinology Advanced Trainees. Dr. Namboodiri is involved in research activities and has published in national and international medical journals. She is committed to staying at the forefront of endocrine advances to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.
