About Dr Shamani Mendis
Dr Shamani Mendis is an experienced endocrinologist who manages all aspects of diabetes and general endocrinology. After completing her specialist training at Concord Hospital and Liverpool Hospital, she obtained Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2017. Dr Mendis has published osteoporosis research.
Her clinical practice covers a wide range of endocrine conditions, with a particular interest in the monitoring and long-term management of diabetes and osteoporosis as well as weight management and multi-disciplinary care. She works closely with general practitioners to deliver coordinated, personalised care aimed at preventing complications and improving long-term health outcomes.
Dr Mendis is bilingual in English and Singhalese, ensuring clear communication with patients from diverse backgrounds.
