Dr Juliana Puppi

Biography

Dr Juliana Puppi is a paediatric gastroenterologist at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead (CHW). After completing her training in paediatric gastroenterology in Brazil, she undertook clinical fellowships in paediatric hepatology at Bicêtre Hospital in Paris, and at the Paediatric Liver Centre at King’s College Hospital in London.

She moved to Australia in 2014, and since then has been working in the Department of Gastroenterology at the Children’s Hospital Westmead.

She is accredited by the Conjoint Committee for Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy to perform endoscopic procedures (gastroscopy and colonoscopy) in children.

Interests include:

  • Liver disease and liver transplantation
  • Nutritional disorders, clinical nutrition, intestinal rehabilitation
  • Gastrointestinal disorders such as inflammatory bowel disease, chronic diarrhoea, coeliac disease, and allergic disorders
  • Motility and functional disorders
