Dr Yanna Ko

Biography

Dr Yanna Ko is an accredited Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist. She is a caring and compassionate physician, committed to providing excellent personalised care to her patients. She manages all aspects of gastrointestinal and liver disorders, including reflux, constipation, diarrhoea, bowel cancer surveillance and iron deficiency anaemia. Her subspecialty interest is functional gut disorders including irritable syndrome and chronic constipation. She has multiple publications in peer reviewed Gastroenterology journals from her research in various gastrointestinal disorders including irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease. She is currently completing a PhD on irritable bowel syndrome therapeutics at Western Sydney University.

 

Association

Dr Ko has been awarded accreditation for gastroscopy and colonoscopy by the Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. She also performs polypectomy, bowel cancer surveillance and haemorrhoid therapy.
Dr Ko is multilingual and can speak Cantonese and Mandarin.

She graduated medical school with first class Honours from the University of NSW. She completed her advanced Gastroenterology training at Concord Repatriation General Hospital and Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals, NSW.
